Ernest is fond of the ladies and he has one or two close acquaintances within the saloon girl sisterhood but he also dabbles and while fooling around with a young lady named Drusilla her irate father chases him off with a shotgun. Alas soon after the father is found dead with evidence that Ernest aka Nicodemus was responsible and thus Ernest finds himself on trial for murder with a judge who is also the prosecutor and a jury who apologies to Ernest while laying down a guilty verdict.
The Professor and Ramos stage a jail break and the trio go in search of a witness who was last known to be going to Denver but with a pose on the heels can Ernest find the truth before the long arm of the law catches up with him and he his hung until dead…
Well this episode really went for the laughs and pretty much hit the mark time and time again, RDA excels at this sort of delivery and the writers/producers made good use of the existing cast of characters to enhance the comedy. The guest stars added greatly to ramping up the tension and “threat” that Ernest is under for the most of the episode and again a fine line is travelled in dealing with racial issues from viewpoints. A fun episode and you can’t really go wrong when your main stars dress up as travelling fortune tellers and not always of the male persuasion.
